Freddy Focks is an artist based in southwest France, a muralist since 2010.
Involved in the local artistic community, he is behind several collectives and cultural events, including Le Club, la Streetarterie, Pump Up the Jam in Tonneins, and Face aux Murs in Fumel.
Self-taught, he has been drawing since childhood and discovered spray paint in the early 2000s. He began his artistic journey on the walls of Club 47, where he refined his style and developed an instinctive approach to mural painting. His practice has been refined over the years, nourished by his work as a muralist and by numerous travels that broadened his aesthetic horizons.
In 2019, he opened his eyes to graphic design and graphic design, seeking to merge these disciplines with his pictorial approach. He explores the composition, typography, and visual codes of psychedelic rock, reinterpreting them through vibrant colors, organic shapes, and a play of visual illusions. His work spans a multitude of media: posters, album covers, screen prints, murals, and everyday objects, extending his universe beyond the walls. Always seeking experimentation, he combines digital and artisanal techniques to create visuals that are both striking and timeless. His approach, blending mystical influences with modernity, is also nourished by collaborations with artists from diverse backgrounds—musicians, illustrators, graphic designers—enriching his style with a constant dialogue between image, sound, and material.
